Winecoff firefighter Rick Roberts was buried with full Atlanta Fire Rescue Department honors at Westminster Gardens in Peachtree City, Georgia December 22, 2011.

| In a letter of sympathy to Chief Roberts' family Atlanta Fire Chief Kelvin Cochran wrote in part, "His heroic effort at the historic Winecoff hotel fire will always be remembered by the citizens of this great city, and also by the men and women of the Atlanta Fire Rescue Department. |
